Then he had her look at his fingers right in front of her eyes, moved them around, and then said something abrupt. Jodi slumped down between her legs like she'd been shot.
Holy - ! Kelly worked on her some more, getting her into a more relaxed state and then gave out some suggestions. One was the color red would be extremely funny to her. He then showed her a red pen and Jodi began to laugh pretty loud.
"Parts of it I was relaxed, and felt myself drifting a little bit," she said. "I was fully aware of everything that was happening. When he said I would laugh at the pen, I started giggling. I was thinking, 'OK, this is not funny, Jodi,' but it really was funny."
Jon himself goes on to claim he was really spooked, and resisted me. (Actually, he forgot the number 6 and wound up with a 11 fingers for a moment.) Oh well. But, all in all, it was a very friendly and positive column. Just thought you would find it interesting.

I have to tell you that [ I ]have been blowing people away with your techniques. Since Las Vegas my confidence has gone through the roof. I really appreciate the time and effort both you and Richard put into that training. My shows are going well. I was at a party a few weeks ago and did a little demonstration for a few minutes. I hypnotized this guy's wife and he booked me on the spot to perform for his company holiday party. It looks like you are going to be pretty busy with a lot of seminars. I am sure they will go well. If you want to send anyone my way that have questions about the training, please feel free to do so. I have nothing but positives to say about my experience.

Hi John, I'd just like to say hello and thanks for the speedtrance dvd which i got last year, it really gave me the confidence to start using rapid inductions in my therapy sessions aswell as going out to bars etc and having some fun with hypnosis using those inductions, up until then i was always a bit worried to use rapid inductions because i guess of the confidence i was lacking but after studying the dvds it boosted my confidence level and i just went for it! ... Yyou said you are always developing new ideas and techniques and i am always looking for new ways to perfect my skill as a hypnotist by learning from Masters of the Art like yourself, especially in getting deep states of trance in the quickest time possible so there's more time for the Change Work.

Hi John,
I recently purchased and watched the Speed Trance video you recorded last year. It was great and very straight forward. I don't have questions about the process, you left little for the imagination.
My question is this, when you are speaking to your subjects in trance you often reference being a hero and protecting children from a fire(I believe you said). I am curious to know how long you have had this a part of your suggestions and where it originated. I can only guess you are trying to make the world a better place by encouraging people to take action instead of standby like they might most of the time. I am a better hypnotist for watching that video if not for the instant induction training then for the advice to really boost up the subjects moral, overall feeling and self esteem. I rarely see stage hypnotists do what you do and will purchase your books and dvd’s in the future.

Richard Nongard and John Cerbone are good guys. We spent time together the last time I was in the States and they are my friends. They shot the street footage for that video ("Speed Trance") in some small town bars in Kansas - just showing up some night with no preparation. I grew up in a small town in Kansas and so I know how conservative some folks can be so that was a nice touch. Of course, I've done speed hypnosis on the streets of Asia through an interpreter so I know how adaptable one has to be to pull things off and how much fun it can be. John's "butterfly induction" in that set is a delight. The video is simple shots and editing while the content is the real meat of the piece. It's not flashy but it has substance. Their material is readily available in the magic shops (Penguin does sell their stuff so it's convenient).

John, Today I recieved my HypnoThoughts.com prize of yours and Richard Nongard's Speed Trance hypnosis DVD's....
All I have to say is WOW, did you guys ever do a great job!! There is a lot of not only great, but Brilliant material in there! It must have taken you two forever to actually make it.
Anyway I must say that while watching it (being a strong somnambulist myself).... everytime you pulled out your Red pen I began to laugh.... In fact I laugh now just thinking about it... and all the suggestions you gave your volunteers in realtion to the color red I found myself feeling as I had to travelle to the store.... Stop sighs, break lights, stop lights and the sort... So hey thanks, I guess I kinda got a special bonus out of it too.....
Anyway thanks to both you and Richard for such a great educational video... I through it in the DVD player as soon as it arrived and I am sure I will continue to watch it day in and day out......
Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see some more speed inductions in the future...
